Does anyone own this lens?I found one for $450 in a copal in great shape.
I will use this mostly for 3/4 body shots of people and need good sharpness.
Any info is appreciated and other suggestions in this focal lenght for my application would be great.Steve

I can always slop a lot of vaseline or petroleum jelly on the front to soften it up a bit

From the responses I probably do not need to worry about sharpness.

I also have one of those. It's quite sharp, and has room to spare for any movements you'd want to use on it at 4x5.

One question; how does one shade this lens? I normally use a Lee shade, but this thing has a huge diameter, too big to even fit within a 4x5 Sinar compendium bellows (I shoot with a Sinar P).

I'm facing the same issue with my 360 Symmar on my 810 P, (hopefully soon to arrive), testing on the 4x5 F tells me that as long as the front element is close (the closer the better) to the beginning of the bellow, it shades it well.

This lens is even good for 8x10" and adjustments, image circle is 435mm.
