Thread: Rocks and stones

    Re: Rocks and stones

I just realized that this may sound a bit smug, which was not my intention. So, "here" is the North-West San Fernando Valley, right in the foot of Santa Susana mountains. They form a ragged foothill strewn with rocks of all sizes and there is a variety of parks, large and small sprinkled at the bottom, as well as lots of trails going up into the mountains. The park in question is about half the size of the footbal field, with some recreation facilities and a bunch of rocks and trees at one edge of it.

If it has a name, I don't know it. The closest points of interest are the Rocky Point, Santa Susana Pass and Topanga Canyon.

    Marko,

Exactly where I thought. (yah sure). But I do know where it is. Chatsworth area. About 2 miles north of me. Now if I would only stop raining and clear up a bit. Darned eclipses get in the way too.

Yeah, the rain can really be a pest here... All few days of it, each year.

Thanks for the comments on the Cathedral Falls image, gentlemen.

Bryan - although the fall-off may not be to everyone's taste, I think it adds to the drama of your image.

Sheldon - Yes, it's good to pay attention to one's Creative Director. It would be a shame for falls to be, well, your downfall.

A couple of shots from the Quabbin Reservoir, Massachusetts USA, when the water level is quite low.
