    Hi Kirk,

There is a thread on this in the archive from June 1. I saw the film and it was very well done. Hope you get a chance to see it.

    Re: New Weston film

I had the privilege, among a rather large group to see the premiere of this remarkable film at the Portland Art Museum, with Charis and her daughter in attendance. It was a genuinely memorable experience. It is available on DVD and I am proud to own a copy. It is a treasured possession. You too can own one. http://www.nwdocumentary.org/weston/

The way the film maker Ian McCluskey did the film with actors who look remarkably like Charis and Edward was just amazing. All were present at the premiere and we had a chance to meet them at the after the show reception. To meet Charis was a once in a lifetime chance to meet a legend, sharp witted and beautiful at age 93.

    Great film.

Eric, you and I had a similar wonderful experience.

Above, I have referenced my thread of June 1, on this forum. The film, well done, indeed!

I ordered the CD back in June when the first thread appeared. I haven't received it yet. When I last inquired they said it would be shipped in August.

Brian, there was a DVD available at the original screenings. However, I believe that Ian said he planned to add more material and issue an expanded version later in the summer. That may account for the delay.

A pity all they take are credit cards. Maybe I'll find a copy later from someone who takes Paypal.

My last contact stated that the DVD was almost ready for shipment. I too have been waiting since June and look forward to receiving the DVD.

There will be another showing of the flim during Portland Photographers' Second "Photographers Fanfaire" at University of Portland, Oregon. November 2-4th.
I hope the film will be up for sale during the Fanfaire as well.
    More to come.

How much nudity is in the movie?
It would be a great teaching aid for a college program I teach but if it has much nudity I would have to jump through to many hoops to be allowed to show it.
