My friend Marina was visiting this weekend, and was a good enough sport not just to sit for me but to tolerate me throwing different hats and clothes (and lack of clothes) at her. I was mostly using my old rollei, but shot a handful of 4x5 on the toyo, with a 210mm rodenstock geronar at f8 for about 1/15th by the window in failing light.

and if someone can remind me of the painting I was thinking about when we shot this one, I will be hugely grateful...

Two recent platinum/palladium prints (one printed this week, one other one last week). The one in the redwoods was taken on this past New Years Day, the one in Yosemite National Park was taken in August of 2005.

These are part of a continuing series of environmental portraits of my triple boys.

Both taken with an 8x10 Zone IV using a Fuji W 300mm/5.6. Both are on Ilford FP4+, rated at 125ASA, developed in Ilford Universal PQ Developer.

The one in the redwoods ...f45 at 60 seconds. The one above Omstead Point in YNP...f64 at 1/8 second.
