    horseman 450 and LE models

What are the essential differences between the Horseman 450 and the Horseman LE model. I believe that the 450 is a pound lighter and comes witha fresnel but that is all I know; the pictures look identical.??? Thanks

I have owned a 450 and having seen the LE , I see no difference at all, but as you say the weight is different but I have no Idea of where did it all go! There is a shop here in Holland which is selling my 450 (They have it for three years now!) as a LE but I had a case and special rubber rings to improve grip on the geared vertical and horizontal shift./

I seem to recall reading that the LE did not have geared focussing on the rear standard. I don't know whether this is true or not. According to the Horseman USA web site the tripod block on the LE is not geared. Both standards and the tripod block are geared on the 450.

Other than that, I too can see no difference. I would be surprised if the 450 was really a pound lighter - I'd check that the comparison is being made with the same rail, if that's important to you.

Also, if the LE is not actually supplied with a fresnel lens, then it is certainly an inexpensive accessory to buy and easy to fit (if you want it).
