Auto Cropping in Silverfast Preview?

I am using Silverfast AI Studio on a Epson 4990 and have recently moved up in size from my usual 4x5 scans to 5x7 and 8x10 negatives. With the 4x5 negs I have been using the provided holders and have had great results. With the larger negatives I have been laying them directly on the glass and scanning which seems to work other than the fact that the image is being cropped on one or two sides in the prescan. I'm guessing this is some function of the auto frame detection....

Anybody know what I need to do in order to scan the full negative? Do I need to some sort of holder for these sizes rather than laying it directly on the glass?

Use the film area guide that came with the 4990 and under the "Original" tab, select Transparency (Full Area).

Thanks, I think I tried the area guide and the full area tab but I'm not sure if I did them both at the same time, sounds like it could work. I'll test it out tonight.
