    Old Tree and House
    Added to my "Song of Trees" series.

    Shot with Chamonix 5×8" camera and Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 210mm f:4.5 lens on 13×18cm sheet of Fomapan 100, developed in Rodinal. Full frame.

    Hi Pali,
    Is the green that vivid on the transparency? On my screen, the green is quite overpowering. I didn't know Ektar could be that vivid in colour.
    You could certainly see the quality of a drum scan (esp detail in shadow).

    Ektar in my experience has been very saturated and I didn't add any saturation to this scan. Actually, the scan went through minimal adjustments but I did adjust the levels for the blue channel to reduce cast I was getting in the shadows. Here are the two steps I took for raw conversion before applying selective curves for the ground.

    ColorPerfect RAW Scan conversion:



    Blue levels adjustment to remove blue cast in shadows:

    Same for me; the green appears extremely saturated on my monitor.

    That has to do with the colorspace of the jpg, not the scan itself. It looks overly saturated because you view it on a monitor with a wide color gamut in a browser that tries to apply it's own (wrong) color profile. Copy it to PS and it will look normal again.
