Thread: post your trees!

    Re: post your trees!

Here's a shot taken near Horsetail Falls in the Columbia Gorge a few months ago with a modified 1920s 3x4 Graflex Series B SLR...the lens is an f/8 Bausch and Lomb Rapid Rectilinear, taken from a defunct Kodak 3A postcard camera. The camera has a Graflex 6x6 120 roll film back, and the film was Ilford XP2.

Hi Shen, No they are about 5 hour drive away. I was up that way (Robinvale) for work.

    Thanks, I used a Schneider 90 f6.8 that I picked up for £100.

Tried to capture the light coming through the trees in the back yard this evening. Turned out a little more busy in the negative than it looked on the ground glass. Sometimes colors (light and dark green) render much differently to the eye than to the film. Should have known.

Kodak 2D 8x10, B&L 15" f/3.8 projection Petzval, Kodak Low Contrast Aerial Duplicating Film (SO-277), 2 sec. exposure.

    Winter Oak

I printed this last night on Oriental glossy RC. I couldn't decide on the grade and printed it as a grade 2 and 3. After much soul searching I settled on grade 2 because the darker clouds in the background stood out more whereas on grade 3 they became more of a dark distracting band across the image. I'm thinking about reprint this on Ilford's MG art 300 paper. Anyone tried that paper yet?
