I wrote this description on flickr:

"The trees are at the south side of a church that was seriously damaged by a fire.
To prevent a collapse of the building a huge construction was built from parts
of a regular scaffold.
They just built this framework around and through the trees.
This is the real scene as it was.

I had some problems with vignetting, I made a test shoot with Polaroid 664
which is smaller than the used 4x5 film.
As I shifted a lot I didn't see the vignetting on the focusing screen and it wasn't visible
on the Polaroid because the Polaroid film is not centered in the middle of the focusing screen when used
with the Polaroid 405 back. For shots with 4x5 camera and a lot of shifting I use
a full 4x5 instant picture for test picture now - OK it's more expansive but I'm on the safe side.

And I use wide angle lenses now. At that time my widest lenses were a Nikkor W 105
and a Schneider Symmar 150.
The composition isn't satisfying me, the small shrub on the bottom left is to dark
and isn't helpful (apart frrom producing oxgene).

I tried some cropping and ended up with the original slide."

It's a shame about the vignetting (I've done that myself) but I love the resulting shot all the same. Both the sort of ordered chaos, and the color as well.

Thank you. I love photography on quiet foggy days. It was also a good use of expired film (ten years)

These evergreens in the N. Cascades (Wash. state) have just shaken-off their winter snow – it’s May and the sun is returning – but the snow they shook off had dusted several portions of this curving road. I had to slow down in several places to see the road better. Not the best place to leave it! The road is heading Eastward, where rain tapers off, trees thin-out, and the landscape quickly flattens into a vast, dry desert.
