So I got a portfolio what next?

After getting a printer, I have printed a few of my best and put them in a portfolio. I take local nature scenics: shots of nature/trees/night shots/barns and buildings. I would like to show them around a bit. Besides galleries, what can I do? I was thinking of displaying them in some local small businesses but don't know... Very new.

Hi, you could show in your local coffeehouse/Starbucks.

    Lucas,

I suggest that before you actually show your portfolio, introduce yourself and exchange business cards. After a few days, contact those with whom you spoke and see if you can arrange an appointment to show them your work.

Business owners/managers are very busy and so may not have the time to really look at your work if you just walk in the door unannounced.
