Thread: print washer for 16x20

    print washer for 16x20

    looking for suggestions for new or used print washers capable of handling 16x20 prints...i've used the zone vi washer [11x14 size] for many years and always thought it was a good piece of eqpt., but i've not seen the zone vi 16x20 on the usual sites as a used product...thanks in advance for any comments/suggestions...walter

    If you don't wash a large volume at once you can drape a 16x20 print over one of the 11x14 dividers so that half of the print is in one channel and the other in the other. You can do about 4 or 5 that way. That's how I used to wash my 16x20 prints.

    I've had good luck with my Oriental washer (which is actually a relabled Gravity Works washer), and would recommend it (or the identical Gravity Works).

    Versalab makes a fairly inexpensive washer that does an excelant job. I have had one for a few years and it works quite well. It's a little tricky to get the flow just right but once you do it does a great job.

    several very helpful responses...by the way, summitek, a popular choice among darkroom workers, is no long in production [since fall of 07]...i've come to no decision, but want to thank those that responded...walter
