Here's a rail trestle over the Snake River from last February. It's at Lyon's Ferry, between Starbuck and Palouse Falls. 90mm lens, TriX with yellow #8 filter.

Here's "Indian Timothy Bridge" on a stream running into the Snake River. In the 1930's this commemorated an Indian who saved some settlers from attack. Later the state named a park after him, elevating him to "Chief Timothy." Now we've closed the park and abandoned the bridge. Such is gratitude and fame!

I originally posted this to landscape, but it's a better fit here. This is the backside of the bridge in the Japanese garden, Newport News Park, VA, in the early autumn.

    Re: Bridges

Here's some work from last week on very expired Tri-X Pack Film on my Busch Pressman, w/ 135mm f/4.7. A truly wonderful tank of a camera.

This bridge is on Route 66, on the west side of Oklahoma City (still inside the city limits, actually). The historic bridge was restored a few years ago, and still carries quite a bit of traffic, though there is a 6 lane bridge next to it.

These were shot with old Kodak Tri-X Pack Film (expired probably sometime in the 60s). I had to cut the sheets down a little to fit into the negative holder on the V700. Is there any way to date the film? It says it's "Kodak Safety Film," which leads me to believe it's super old. I also have 16 sheets of ancient Plus-X Pack Film to shoot!

I kind of like the weird light leak on this one. A happy accident.

My lines aren't as straight as I'd like, but I had to move quickly, and shoot between cars. Gladly, I didn't get hit!
