ONWARD Exhibition in January '08

ONWARD '08, our first competition was very well received. 282 emerging photographers submitted 1162 photographs from across the US and as far as Europe and Asia.

Andrea Modica selected 59 photographs by 57 photographers to be part of the exhibition which will take place at Project Basho Gallery in January. The selected photographers are:

The works by these 57 photographers will be displayed in the Project Basho Gallery January 10th through February 24th. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, January 12th, from 2-5 pm. Also, to coincide with the show at the gallery, the selected images will be featured in an online gallery on the Project Basho site.

New Schedule for Spring '08

The Spring 2008 schedule has been posted. In addition to our regular classes, we have a few new offerings this time including workshops that focus on form and content, portfolio and bookmaking, as well as neighborhood shooting projects, and the opportunity to work with master printer Chuck Kelton. Please take a look at the spring class and workshop schedule.

Introducing Early Registration Discount

We are now offering a 10% early registration discount for workshops. To qualify for the discount, you must register and pay in full six weeks in advance of the workshop. Please contact us directly for early registration.

Unique Gift Certificates from Project Basho
Project Basho offers unique handmade cyanotype gift certificates. Gift certificates can be purchased for specific classes, workshops, or darkroom times or just by amounts which can be applied to any of our programs. If you are interested in buying a gift certificate for this holiday season, please contact us by December 21st as the office will be closing soon for a short winter break.

More New Programs

We hope to offer many interesting programs in 2008 and continue to expand our areas of interests. We will focus on the lecture series and other ways for photographers to get together to share work. We also hope to begin showing photography related movies in the new gallery space. Furthermore, shooting trips with national and international destinations are in the planning stages. We will keep you up to date as the plans come together.

Winter Break

Please note Project Basho will be closed December 22nd - January 5th. We wish you all a Happy New Year. Thank you for your continued interest in Project Basho and we look forward to seeing you in the studio in 2008.
