    OS X Leopard - Compatiblity Issues ?

Has anyone heard of compatibility issues with Leopard and the tools that are typically used for scanning, printing, and imaging ?

For example, Photoshop, printer drivers, VueScan, Silverfast, etc. ?

If I find any, I'll post them here. I should have a copy soon.

Nope, but we'll surely learn them all soon. Grin.

I won't switch to leopard until the first few bug fixes come out, usually within a month of the new OS release.

My copy will be arriving tomorrow. I'll install it on one or two puters but not the main workstation or the scanner machine in the studio. Like Brian, will wait and see a bit.

A minor rant. For the first time Apple is NOT shipping a disc that you can load on as many puters as you own. We have a six computer network so I had to buy a 'family pack' good for five machines. The sixth is strictly a calendar and address book server so it can wait. .

Well, yes, that's the idea. It was always supposed to be, but the honesty of the general public is usually commensurate with the level of security implemented.

A family pack costs less than two individual disks. Apple is in the business of creating and selling computers and operating systems. I really don't see any reason to complain, that's as reasonable as they can get and still make some money for their trouble. Just compare it to Microsoft, quality-, design- and price-wise and have a good laugh...

yeah- but think of it this way... it's SOOOO much cheaper than Windows Vista - NOT to mention the fact that it's actually WELL designed and implemented (something no windows product will likely EVER be under Gates) - in fact brilliantly so. If there were any OS ever worth paying for - it's OS X systemware.

I'll install it on just one MacTel computer. Then if it works fine I'll move it to another until all Intels, G5's, G4s and (??? G3 doubt it) are migrated.

I always try to wait a month or two and follow Macintouch.com MacNN.com and xlr8yourmac.com to learn from everyone elses tragedies before I risk my own disasters!

With it's core in FreeBSD, how can you go wrong? Best TCP stack out there!
