    Epson V700

I have the opportunity to purchase an Epson V700 scanner at a very reasonable price. I just need confirmation from the experts on the forum that this will scan 8X10 BW negatives and 8x10 slides. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it will...you use the film area guide and then lay the negs on the glass bed.

Run a search for V700/V750 on this site. See www.betterscanning.com.

    Hi Simon,
I've recently used the V700 to scan 8x10 B&W negatives and slides with very good results. I was concerned about newton rings with the the negatives resting on the glass, but did not see any after careful inspection and the scans look great! you can also get 3rd party negative holders or even wet-mount systems later down the line if you want to. I would do it
