Thanks Brian. It's just a neg scan, and from APX100 at that so that's the main reason as far as I am concerned!! I followed Ken Lee's process to get a pantone fill in PS. It makes all the difference. I scanned as 16 bit greyscale, did minor contrast adjustment, converted to RGB, added duplicate layer, and used fill command at 70% opacity using a pantone color. then merged down. Seems to work well.

So many wonderful images on this thread it makes me reluctant to put mine up on this thread. However I thought I would try a few.

All images were made with a Linhof Color rail camera and Schneider 135mm lens. The first one, exposed on HP5+, has been cropped.

The following two images, uncropped, were exposed on Kodak Portra 160VC.

    The viewpoint of a sunflower

I'm quite new to large format, and learning. It seems the back side of sunflower is as interesting as the front side. This was done on Sunday with window light and white linen background. Scheider Xenar 135/4.5, TXP 320 & xtol 1:1. Still eagerly waiting for the color slides to come back from the lab.

The flowers run a little too perfectly corner-to-corner for me. If they were a little more vertical it would feel a little more grounded and solid to me. As is it feels like there's no proper "up" to the image.
