I like the tone, thats exactly how K7 carbon comes out on rag papers.

Softproof for K7 Carbon and Canson Rag Photographique, Hahnmule Photo Rag, Cranes Portfolio Rag. Theoretical Dmax would be about 1.61 except for the Cranes about 1.4 ish. Profiling theese papers was an interesting exercise for me. Looking at the prints going on judgement I find the Hahnmule orange and the Canson more olive brown, but that could be my light.

Not my forte, but I thought I'd try. Wisner Trad.; Caltar 135mm; Acros QL in Pyrocat HD.

Wow Ken, That is wonderful! I love the translucence and highlighted edges in the rose petals.

Thank you very much. At the risk of overstaying one's welcome, here's yet another variation, sort of a compromise between the two.

My vote also goes to the third one. Both for the background that meshes better IMHO and I like the small inperfection on the flower.

    Cheers,

This one and the first one are lovely. The first is more vibrant (the tessar look I suppose) and has a purity and softness about. The last has texture and those lovely highlights on the tops of the petals set in a stronger composition. Two completely different images.
