    Yeah, I'm with you there. I've only just started to print, and I like my silver gelatin prints way more than scans or inkjet prints...

    I was having a hard time cropping this, so I slapped a matte over the 8x10 to see how it would be. It made everything better, so I exposed that way, which is why the soft lines and not-quite-white whites.

    Around here we call that a fiddlehead. It's a young fern that hasn't unfurled itself yet.

    Ornamental shrub out in the landlord's back yard. I think that I have the exposure for full macro down OK.
    Graflex Super Graphic, Wollensak Optar 135mm, Fuji FP100C45, sunny f/16 and +3 stops for extension.

    One of my wife’s favorite plants is the Hosta and mine would be the Lenten Rose. Here they are side by side at the front of our house.
