Flowers Anyone?

Wow, Paul! Looks so great!

Thank you very much. I made 7 plates that day, trying hard to grab the best possible instance of this shot. Its hard to do with wet plate collodion because there is at least 5 minutes of plate prep before you even get "film" into the camera, and even in good light, exposures for a glass negative can be between two and 8 minutes. You can imagine what this is like when dealing with shifting light conditions (cloud cover increased and decreased the whole time) and the shaft of light across the wall behind went from a sliver to completely out of frame within 30 minutes. It was definitely a case of chasing a moving target.
I'm glad you like it. Its a cliche, of course - but its a cliche I like a lot. :-)
