    Laeliocattleya H. G. Alexander FCC/RHS, 1942, by Alexander. At nearly 80 years of age, this is still a magnificent orchid to behold.

    Ilford FP4+, Deardorff 8X10 camera with a Darlot magic lantern lens, wide open (it has no aperture or stops).

    Great texture. Also, there's a timeless quality. It feels like the photo was taken when the FCC award was given.

    This is a scan from the negative, with sepia added in photoshop.

    Wista SP 4x5 - Nikkor-W 180mm
    Exposure time was 31s at F/64
    Delta 100 - Ilford DDX - 1+4 @ 12 mins
