    Very, very over-generalized . . . and completely biased towards a North American audience with a short attention span. However, I agree with the premise that you will not see start-up companies getting into any of these businesses, with the possible exception of newspaper start-ups.

    Actually - brings up an interesting point - isnt' the usual attention span quoted as something like 7 minutes...? seems about the length of time between commercials... would make sense, no?

    There are two E-6 labs left in our state. Our local lab, the best one (once one of Kodak's exclusive Q Labs and with a national clientel), is now down to running 3 half days a week. E-6 had a 2 hour turn around two years ago, now has potentially a two day turn around.

    Still 4-hour turnaround on E-6 in New York, and 2-hour and 1-hour rush processing is available for a premium.
