    Where to buy an 8*10 camera in europe?

    Dear All,

    I work on 4*5 inch but am planning to move up,
    I'm a bit confused on where to find an 8*10 camera that won;t
    break the bank. Does anybody have some reliable adresses?

    Would be most gratefull for any help,
    great forum btw, been reading a lot!

    ebay? Watch out for an old monorail or wood folder.

    Stefan what country are you in? UK? France? Germany? I think your location will play a role - other members local to you may be able to help with more exact retailers

    I'm in the UK so I only know of some UK sites with LF gear and I wouldn't know for, say, Belgium.

    In France I know 3 mail-order LF dealers plus at least one shop in Paris, Boulevard Beaumarchais where you can find 10"x8" cameras.

    Film OK, but no cameras, new that is. Secondhand is a possibility in Brussels.

    "Taos Photographic" or something like that which I believe is in France. It seems like they have a very impressive selection.

    Hello,

    THanks for the info,
    I live in the netherlands,
    what I'm looking for is a view camera
    that can be folded, no need for
    tilt and shift,

    don;t mind if it need to be fixed, I have
    some friends of mine are really good with
    metal and wood!

    www.plaubel.com is a dealer in Frankfurt/Main for Plaubel, Horseman and Toyo products.

    You don't want tilt or shift? Have them make you a box camera. With no movements it's very easy.
