Helen, Sorry I truly don't remember. It was stated then, but at this point I would only be guessing.
    Thanks,

    Re: Cone inks & resolution

It's a moot point in my mind as long as Cone does not have a legitimate inkset for glossy papers...
My sources suggest that it is very near. There are some beta testers out there now (not me).
    Thanks,
    Kirk

Is the test pattern available so we can do our own tests?

I'm not one of the beta testers either, but I am working on something similar to what I understand the glossy Cone system to be, with the inks that are available now. I decided to do that because even when the full Cone system is available it will be with QTR, and I would rather use IJC/OPM - so I will have to prepare my own ink/GO profiles from scratch anyway. I'll still use the Epson K3 inks for glossy B&W prints with IJC/OPM because they give different results, and a wider range of possibilities.

ABW seems to use more colour ink than necessary when compared to the amount used with IJC/OPM - I guess the same goes for QTR.

    Best,
    Helen

    Ed,

Here is one of the test patterns I use. You can easily change the pixel values to see what happens at other values and contrasts. Never resample it, just change the resolution. My typical resolution settings are 288, 300, 320, 360, 576 and 720 with printer driver settings of 1440 and 2880. The general idea is to try it with resolutions calculated by dividing the highest printer resolution by integers (10, 9, 8, 5 and 4 in the above cases, with 300 being the odd one out).

    Best,
    Helen
