    8x10 on Gitzo GT2531

Anybody ever used any 8x10" on a Gitzo 2531 or a comparable tripod?
It holds up to 12 kg but I'm still wondering whether it might just be too "thin"?
(Camera will be an Arca F-Metric 8x10", which should be arriving soon..)

An Arca F-Metric 8x10 on anya 2-series Gitzo is entirely insufficient in my opinion. Even if it'll technically hold the weight, you're going to want a burlier tripod for the job. It doesn't have to be too much bigger, but I'm looking at my 2-series Gitzo right now and an 8x120 of any description seems like it would be too much to be stable.

I'd believe a Series 3 tripod would be much more stable for the 810.

Series 3 is an older designation, I think the new one is 33xx.

The 2531 is very rigid so in absolutely calm conditions with light glass you might get away with it, but as everyone else says it would be far from ideal. Even an older 3-series systematic like a 1325 would be massively more appropriate.
