    Transmission density meters

A friend is going out of the photography business and has three transmission density meters for sale. A Macbeth TR524 for $50, and two XRite DPT36 models, one is $100 the other is $50. Both XRite meters need batteries, she says that batteries can be made locally. All three are supposed to work. What is your opinion of these two brand of meters?

    Thanks
