    Z1 in Seattle

My brother is visiting Seattle soon,
I wonder would anyone know if there are any Arca stockists there?

I'd quite like for him to pick me up a Z1 -
I haven't had any luck searching on the internet-

    Thanks-

    Joseph

ps, hope this is the right forum-

Glazer's Camera is the best photo resource in town. See www.glazerscamera.com.

If Glazer's doesn't have one or can't get it for you, you might do better to have it shipped to Seattle from a place like Samy's or B&H. Since it's a small, relatively expensive item, the shipping cost by purchasing by mail order will probably be less than the sales tax that you would pay by purchasing in a store, since sales taxes are determined by state in the US, and sales tax is not generally charged on items shipped across state lines.

I work across the street from Glazier's and checked with them on my lunch minute (welcome to the USA). They carry the plates but not the heads for the Arca line.

PM me if you want to follow David's suggestion: ship it to me from from B&H and have your brother pick it up in Seattle. I promise to wipe the drool marks off of it before he comes

    Re: Z1 in Seattle

    Thanks for the offer Doug-
and thanks for checking it out-

I was pretty certain that Glazers didn't carry it-

I'm just wondering if there'd be an issue with shipping to an address other than the registered cc address-
If there wasn't an issue, then I suppose it could be shipped to his hotel,
which would leave it drool free

It shouldn't have to be necessary, of course,
There's just such a big difference in price between here and there-

Seems odd that its cheaper to buy a European ballhead that's travelled across the Atlantic twice-

    j

will have to check it out-

Shipping to an address other than the registered cc address- would probably not be a problem. When you buy a gift and send it to your brother it is the same as this transaction. B&H on the other hand does not like to ship to hotel-motels-resorts. The logic being I suppose that too many people have their plans changed and don't arrive to pick up the package.

    "B&H Shipping Rules & Policies:
We cannot ship to any of these locations: hotels, motels and resorts."
