New Web Site For Phoenix, AZ Group

Our local large format group, Imageworks, has just started a new web site for their group: http://www.imageworks.org You are welcome to visit. All regular members submitted two images to start, but will have up to ten images (plus links to their own sites) when fully complete. Let me know if you have any suggestions for improving the site.

On the "resources" pages there are quite a few references to other sites and businesses which are extremely beneficial to large format photographers, although some may be geographically oriented only to Phoenix. Many of the URLs were assembled by one of our Emeritus Members, Dean Barto.

Thanks to QT Long for allowing us to use his information about Large Format Photography on the site.

    Thanks.

Tucson isn't part of Phoenix yet. There is a long waiting list and you have to apply. Does Tucson have any references?

Tucson had a small group (6-8?) of large format photographers that met informally two or three times a couple of years ago, but never really took off. Sometimes I hear rumblings of getting a group together again...

Mark, Wasn't Don Boyd a part of that group, until he moved to New Mexico? He and I corresponded a couple of time about comparative group activities. And, weren't you in the Sedona Smith/Chamlee workshop about a year and one-half ago? Even though Phoenix and Tucson are light years apart in some respects, we're all alot closer than you would think when it comes to photography. Why don't a couple of you come up some time and attend one of our meetings just for fun? Maybe it will give you some ideas for jump-starting your own group. With the CCP down there, you've got to have a few more than 6-8 large formaters ...
