I recently picked up an old aerial lense, cheap. I actually bought it for the fi lter. It came with a very large #8 yellow glass filter. The lense is more of a novelty to me. I was wondering though how I might figure out the fstop of the lense? It's a plain barrel lense with no iris, and there are almost no markings on the lense. It focuses on the wall at about 45". The only markings are scratched on the side. They read: B.F. 8.9/6 F.F 22.2/3 I'm not sure what this all means? Specs are: length: 11 inches front element: 6" across rear element: 5" across circumference: 17 1/2" (at the center) Weight: about 12lbs.
Any ideas or comments are welcome!
