    Film for highlight masking

For the first time, I'm about to jump into the murky depths of making masks for some of my images. I have on in mind that screams to have a highlight mask (some rock banding without a lot of tonal separation). If anyone has done this, I'd love to know what sort of film/developer combination you've used as well as any other advice.

I used to use film for that but now I use my inkjet printer and print on plain old OH transparencies. I still use film for unsharp masks.

That's interesting. Hadn't thought about doing it that way....
