I will be giving a week-end carbon printing workshop at PhotoCentral in Hayward on July 28 and 29.
Along with my introduction to carbon printing (single transfer), Kate Jordahl will be teaching cyanotype printing and Cedric of Keeble and Shuchat, Palo Alto, will be teaching van Dyke printing.
The goal will be to have participants walk away with prints that they have made from all three processes...or participants can concentrate on one or two of the processes.
I plan of demonstrating my method of making carbon tissue and well as the use of Bostick and Sullivan's commercially produced carbon tissue. I will have some of my own tissue for people to print with as well as the B&S Rennaisance Black carbon tissue. We will be transferring onto fixed out photopaper, as well as a limited supply of Yupo.
Here is a link to PhotoCentral...the info there is a little thin, but if you have questions, I'd be happy to answer them.
PS...I will be teaching a very basic hands-on intro to carbon printing.
