How do you keep out dust from tent or changing bag?

    Hi,

I have a Calumet changing bag, but I feel that eventhough I vacuum it I will still contamine it with dust-parts from my skin.
I have tried to keep the holder within a platstic bag and just let the half of the holder be "visible for dust" when I will load it, but it isn't easy.

So how do you keep it at a minimum to get dust when you use a changing room/tent?

You might want to look into a Harrison Changing Tent instead. Nylon interior, nothing touches the film or holder.

I give my tent a wipe with an anti-static cloth just before loading. I leave it erected, but closed when not in use. Opening it sucks in ambient dust.

I was told by Clyde Butcher that he takes a oily tack cloth and wipes out the inside of his changing tent.

I've found that the tents - as opposed to bags - make a huge difference vis a vis dust. I use the harrison tent, but there are other good ones.

Just turn it inside-out, flap it in the air a few times to get rid of any dust, and then use it as usual.
Dust from skin is hardly going to be visible and anyway normal sweat or moisture on the hands would prevent it from falling far.

i am an auto body repair guy when i am not out shooting LF . we have this cloth called a tack cloth. ours is blue in color (it may be called blue tack). it is "sticky" and is used to remove dust from the panel to be painted. it leaves no residue. you could use it to wipe the inside of the tent with. this would be a perfect thing to use. removing dust is what it is designed to do. how lucky are we?

i use a tent now. not because of dust just for the extra room. i leave it set up and closed when i am not using it.
