I just put Steve and Michael on my ignore list ;-)
Perhaps they would be kind enough to recipocate with me and spare us the histrionics.

You made a cheap and gratuitous shot at View Camera. I had not participated in this thread and there was no reason to drag us into the conversation. You make a cheap shot you will get a response. If you can't take don't dish it out. Your previous comments about Alpine showed you were either ignorent and did not do your homework or you hoped no one would expose the absurdity of your remarks. Unfortunatley, for you, they did.
As far as the unprofessional design of View Camera our desire from the start is to do the best for the photograph and photographer. If you have a very horizontal image and limit its horizontal measurement to 7 inches or so it's vertical measurement is only about 2". This makes it hard to see and read. We tried turning the book on its side to make the photo bigger. Not everyone liked it so we now do foldout pages. This can be a very elegant solution and do better for the image and the artist.
It does seem there is a personal issue that you have with View Camera. As I offered before I would be happy to communicate directly with you to resolve this matter.

I'm not brilliant in digital matters, so please forgive me:
I have an 11x14 print (that size because I shoot in that size). I can scan it at 300ppi no problem, but that might break the 3MB rule. If it doesn't, do I need to scale it down in physical size? What's the max image size in physical dimensions?
Thanks!
