    £4 Lens ....

Well here they are The Dallmeyer Pentac f2.9 I purchased in a mis-spelt ebay auction.

Taken yesterday on Velvia 100 cross processed hence the odd colours. Then put into my nice new (beat to death) Sinar Shutter. Both shot at f2.9 and 1/30.

All I can say is I think I have won the jackpot with this lens. The marking states it is the true dallmeyer factory checked one.

Hopefully the Agfa Process camera I have been gifted will yeild 3 nice lenses now.

Anyway Comments Please: Remember £4 ($6) lens and these are scans which stil have all the dust and hairs .. that fresh.

    Steven

PS: Anyone with a sinar shutter repair guide I would appreciate it very much. I have soldered in new flash sync etc.. but the 4/6/8 second marks still are about .5 secs out.

What a buy. Got one of the Original Dallmeyer Pentacs in almost mint condition last year and had it mounted in a #5 Alphax shutter.
    Great and fun lens. Enjoy.

    Re: £4 Lens ....

I can happily say now, after much tinkering with srewdrivers ..

The Agfa Compact has been raped for all it's lenses. So to add to the £4 dallmeyer, there is 270 / 210 and 150 mm super-intergons. Of which the 270 and the 210 are going on Sinar panels (210 there already) and now the 150 is in the process of being made into a proper sharp lens baby :-D

The agfa lenses judging by the 210mm are incredibly sharp. So worth keeping a lookout for them.
