    New velvia 50 asa..any further news??

    Hi,

    I'm about to buy a load of quickload film and was going for the velvia 100 but is there any latest news on the resupply of the velvia 50asa?

    Marc, it is available now in Japan and you can order it from megaperls. It will be in the States in July but I don't know when it will be available in the UK. I have two boxes here and started shootin gsome yesterday alongside the oroginal Velvia 50. Look for an article on how it compares in the next issue of View Camera. I can't tell you a thing yet as I hae only shot a few sheets and won't be heading into the darkroom to process until sometime next week

    It is available in the UK in test rolls. Check over at choose-film.com for details.

    I read (somewhere) that the latent image on the new Velvia degrads very rapidly and should be processed ASAP! (Okay, this is pure BS, but curious mind want to know )
