    jim,
Where do you find the serial number? The one I have has only VII ABA 1 on the front standard and MC 18 stamped in the wood on the bottom?

Joe, the Marine Corps V11's didn't have seperate serial no.'s. I believe there were 50 in all made for the USMC. Yours would be #18 of 50.

Too much. 23 pounds? iirc. Deardorff didn't mess around. It is gorgeous.

Cardboard on the base of the middle photo to keep scratches out. Anyone else who has one, feel free to post some photos. We don't get to see these cameras very often! KH's records show the camera was sent to Helix in Chicago on 3/23/83. Shame the old Helix went out of business several years ago. I bought my first two Deardorffs new from Standard PHoto in 1987! Still have one of them.

Per forum rules "you must state a price". Just kidding...

I hope someday to be a custodian of one these.

Yup, priceless! They're few and far between! I was very lucky to come up on this one and paid roughly what it cost new in 1982! Funny thing, the weight makes my V8 seem light! I'll never complain about that again! This is definitely not a back packing camera! L
