    mailing 8x10 transparencies

    Good evening everyone

I used to take my exposed 8x10 sheets to the lab in the film holders, and once processed I'd collect both my transparencies and the empty holders. The last local pro lab has recently closed down and I now have to mail my exposed sheets to the Spanish mainland, but I am at a loss as to how to do this or what to use to avoid fogging/scratching them, etc. How do you mail your chromes for processing? Any suggestions?

And a second, related question: I'm considering the possibility of travelling this summer with an 8x10 camera, but where would you store exposed sheets (B&W this time) until you got back home and could process them?

In empty 8x10 film boxes. The best source is your lab, but . . . .
