    Which version Silverscan?

I have the Silverscan LE version that came with my V700.

Which upgrade will give me the multisampling option?

Their website is so confusing and hard to find a comparison btw all the versions...what a mess!

    Thanks in advance, all...

    OK...thanks, Ted!

I thought that Ai didn't include it, and that I had to get the version with HDR or some other one. They really need to clean up that confusing site...

    Mr. Viapiano,

Yes, the website can be somewhat confusing along with all the different versions. I'm sorry you had such a hard time. To clarify, you have SilverFast SE which came with the Epson V700. To get the Multi Sampling and the new Multi Exposure, you would need to upgrade to SilverFast Ai Studio. The new version 6.5.0r5 has some great new features along with the Multi Exposure such as Auto Frame Detection and Auto Alignment. No more drawing frames around images and then trying to crop and straighten.

You can download a demo version to try it out first. You can contact me directly and I can give you a discounted price for your troubles. Just mention this forum and what we talked about.

    Thanks!

    Darren,

Great that you are participating here.

I have used AI Studio for so long that I do not remember all the differences between versions. Does AI have the Frame-Set save function? A friend is wanting to upgrade from SE fro this function amongst others?
    Thanks,
    Kirk

    Re: Which version Silverscan?

Darren, I have been a Silverfast user for quite a while. I have used SE, AI and AI Studio with an Epson 4990 scanner. This week I got an Epson V700 scanner. The Silverfast will not recognize the new scanner except in demo mode. Will I have to buy a new copy for use with the new scanner? Thanks!

Bill, Your 4990 software is not transferable without some charge and a new number. I don't think you will have to pay the full price. Darren will know for sure of course.
    Thanks,
    Kirk

Is that a single-pass multi-sampling option? I have a multi-sampling option in Ai, but I have not upgraded to Ai Studio, because I wasn't clear about what I'd get that I don't have access to.

I have an auto frame detection button, but it doesn't work particularly well.

    Thanks!
