Hi all,
I don't know too much about this lens, so correct me if I'm wrong.
If I remove the soft focus disc, will I get the regular lens? What is the is it good lens for 8x10? What is the image cicrle? How this lens is optimized?
Thanks in advance

The disks control the amount of "softness" you get when using the lens. No disks at wide apertures yields an image that is quite soft.
The lens becomes somewhat/mostly/acceptably sharp around f/11 or f/16. The Fuji's I have used (250mm and 180mm) tend to have less contrast than multi-coated optics, even at f/22. But they are no worse than a single coated Voightlander Heliar at that aperture.
The 250SF might cover 8x10, but is really made for 5x7. Try it and let us know what you find.
Badger confirmed for that it covers 8x10. Previous discussion indicates that it does indeed cover 8x10, and possibly more.
I've used the Fuji 250mm on 12x20 for portraits and also for dreamy images on the same format even though it cuts the corners off. It has mucho coverage and is sharp with nice tonality when stopped down. Emile/www.deleon-ulf.com
All right folks,
I bought one, let's see what I can do with it.
