    Congo Lenses

    Folks:
Has anyone bought a new Congo lens recently? It looks like the only way to do this is to order it directly from Japan as they do not seem to have a US distributor. The process is that one faxes them an order form. Has anyone tried this?
    Thanks,
    Dave B.

    Tim:
I think that the Osakas are rebranded Congos. The Congo I am interested in is the 90mm f6.3 which does not seem to be in the Osaka line.
    Thanks,

    Hi David,

I am not sure if Browmwell is carrying the 90mm WA but it is worth contacting Ted Bromwell. The lens is listed in Bromwell's price listing:

Ted has recently told me that he no longer carries Congo lenses due to the fact the the prices for used LF lenses has fallen through the roof in the past two years. That is either good news or bad news depending upon your point of view.

    Re: Congo Lenses

The Congo lenses have been rebranded as many things over the years. The drop in used lens prices is a mixed blessing.
