The earlier L-508 can use the Minolta Booster II, which is dirt cheap on eBay these days, to read off a ground glass. Though this photo doesn't show the GG attachment, here is the pair together:

With the 508 you lose the viewfinder display and the individual calibration of the incident and spot receptors of the 558 and 758.

The Sekonic 608 also has provision for this probe. As I understand it, this was the last of the Sekonic line to offer this feature.

Helen, thank you very much for your reply!! I need the Booster very much! I see Minolta Booster II works with MINOLTA Flash Meter V, Auto Meter III.

    1) Do you know, does Sekonic provide Boosters for spotmeters?

    2) Do Sekonic newer models (for example 558) have Boosters? Or only L-508 goes with Booster?

    3) How do you think, what is better: Minolta Booster II with Minolta spotmeter V or Sekonic/Minolta Booster with Sekonic L-508?

    4) Is it possible to read off the the groundglass by Booster together with flash (in case of large format camera)? Or I need to make two measurements separately?

Does this 558 model posess a Booster? I need to read off the groundglass together with flash!

Not that I'm aware of. The Minolta Booster II can be used with some Sekonic models.

    2) Do Sekonic newer models (for example 558) have Boosters? Or only L-508 goes with Booster?
As Aporodagon mentioned, the 608 has the socket, and I think that the 358 also has it. The 558 and 758 do not. I don't know about the other models.

    3) How do you think, what is better: Minolta Booster II with Minolta spotmeter V or Sekonic/Minolta Booster with Sekonic L-508?
I don't have experience of Minolta flashmeters with the Booster. The Minolta Spotmeter V? I have the Spotmeter F, and that doesn't have an accessory socket.

    4) Is it possible to read off the the groundglass by Booster together with flash (in case of large format camera)? Or I need to make two measurements separately?
Yes, the L-508 works with the Booster II to measure flash on a GG. You would have to calibrate it, centre and corners.

Not that I am aware of. If it did, I wouldn't use it anyway.

    Irina,

This Sekonich/Minolta combination is suppose to be difficult to use, since one needs to calibrate everything. For GG spot measuring, Sinar booster I with Minolta, or if possible Sekonic should be better option.http://www.johndesq.com/pinhole/booster.htm

    Jason.
Then Minolta for this aim is more preferable?
