    Re-washing a negative

I have a Polaroid 55 neg that has milky patches on it. It is also has many tiny dust (I think) marks that show up at 11X14. I am thinking of re-washing it to try and get rid of the spots. Should I put it back into Sodium Sulphite and see if that clears the milkiness? Are there other precautions I should know about when one re-washes a neg? Many thanks for everyone's help Yaakov Asher Sinclair

    Re-washing a negative

I've never tried this before, but iI think it may work. Soak in a small amount of water for about half an hour to an hour, agitating VERY CAREFULLY, with luck your problem should be gone, then place in a quantity on the Sodium Sulphite solution (carefully prepared so that there are no solids left and that there is no dust in the water or other contaminants). Then rinse and dry as normal.
