View Camera Magazine - strange problem (?)

I had a subscription to View Camera for a year. I had a problems with magazine delivery, I did not like the magazine very much so I decided to stop my subscription and did not pay for the second year. Surprisingly an issue I did not pay for came. Then I contacted them asking why they keep sending me the magazine. The aswer was "what is your address?". They even did not start their message with "Dear..." neither put "regards" in the end. Anyhow - I gave the address and did not receive any response. But yesterday I found next issue in my mailbox. I just would not like to be charged for something I do not want to buy. I was not happy with the magazine content and decided I like more other photography magazine I subscribed to instead of View Camera.

You cannot be charged for unsolicited products you receive in the mail. Don't worry about it. Read it and pass it along.

It would be better not to take the passive approach. You credit card may have already been charged. And it won't look good if you don't complain until you have recieved afull year subscription. Call the office and get it straightened out.

calling them is a good idea, thank you. Anyhow, I did pay using pay-pal so I do not think they can really charge me but on the other hand it would not be fair to keep receiving the magazine.

I just called them. I was sure I had one year subscription but it turned out I have it for two years. Ha!

We do our best to see that every subscriber gets his/her magazines. But, and every publisher will tell you this, we are at the mercy of the post office. Calling us is a far better way to get things straightened out than posting here and complaining. As you can see a simple phone call solved the problem. Andrea does a great job of customer service.

We frequently et e-mails saying some thing like

I did not get my issue. Can you check my subscription

    XXXX

The e-mailer only gives us a first name, no last name and no address. Since we have lots of Steves and Johns and Bobs and Marys we can't look anything up with just a first name. If you do e-mail us with a question please give us your full name and address

We are in the office m-f 7am to 4pm mountain time.
