    Re: Toyo 5x7 Film Holders

    Hi All,

Let me clarify so people arent waiting around for a price. I have been in contact with the rep from Toyo, but they want to meet in person to discuss the order, which is not that uncommon here. Also I live nearly 300 miles (500km) from Tokyo, so I dont get down there very often, only once a month, if I am lucky. If we get enough orders to meet their minimum requirements then I will be able to get a price. At this point, until I met the rep on Monday I wont have any information and may not get an exact answer until a week or more after that. The only thing he did indicated on the phone at this point, was the idea is feasible, but no pricing was stated. When pushed, he said probably somewhere between the 8x10 and 4x5 holder costs. Which are roughly 45.00 and 90.00USD respectively.

Once I met with him, he will have to discuss everything with the head office, which is in Osaka(600 miles from here/1000km) and then get back to me. Its a rather slow process, which my real job and the distance from here to Tokyo slow it down somewhat. Its my hope, I can get firm answer before the first of the month.

Right now between this thread and some private emails that I have received the current total is nearing 200 holders. Hopefully its enough!

I will keep everybody informed as I get new information.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Gary

I will take 10 film holders and I hope the price will be approximately less than 1K. Thanks.

If the price isn't too high, I'll spring for 6.
