    Smile Bag For Lenses

Can anyone recommend a good camera bag to use just for lenses? I now own 7 lenses
for my Tachihara 810GF camera, and am in need of a separate bag just for the lenses, filters, etc. Anyone got any good ideas. My wife wants to purchase a bag for me this
    Christmas.

    Thanks to all in advance.

The best is Gnass, But I doubt you'll get them by Christmas. You'd need two of the 4x5 long cases - price about $70 each new if your lenses are on 4x4 or smaller boards, or two of the 8x10 cases if they're on Sinar-sized boards - $80 each.

The next best way, and a good way, is a reel case (fly reels) from Orvis or Gander Mountain. I have one from Gander Mountain that would hold 8 lenses on small boards. Cost, about $20.

You can also use "padded cells" by Outdoor Research if you have small boards.

I have a Gnass case for lenses and a separate filter wallet. The Gnass is very well build and padded. There are several sizes: 3 lens, 4 lens, 4 lens on large boards.

Try Kevin Saitta, over at KJS Photography. His bags are handmade and work quite nicely. He is also a member here as well as APUG. The address is: http://www.kjsphotography.com/products/index.php

I have to agree about the Gnass Gear lens cases. I have one which I like very much as well. It will take some time for preparation. I also have to agree with Robert. Kevin makes some very nice gear and will custom make orders.

Check with Bruce at photobackpacker.com, I just ordered a camera case and a couple of lens cases for my 4x5 kit.

    Jeff,

I second the Photobackpacker.com recommendation. Bruce is a great guy to deal with too.

As good as the Gnass lens cases are... it'll be a very long time before you get it! Certainly, at least a month plus if not longer.

    Cheers
