    Sticky Harrison Changing Tent

after several months of non-use, i broke out my trusty harrison changing tent to load up some holders for a trip this weekend and literally had to peel it open. all of the surfaces that were making contact were pretty well stuck together - i was only able to get the tent open after some pretty good pulling and peeling. will this compromise the light tightness of the tent in any way? does the tent need some sort of cleaning, or is it simply time to replace it?

    thanks,
    scott

There have been other posts about this -- it sounds like the manufacturer will make good on replacing the tent if you contact them, and they want the gunky tent back to test -- good luck.

    Hi Scott,

I've heard of this sort of thing happening to the Harrison tents before... was it stored in a warm/hot area?

Or, was something like soda spilled on it during the move?

It's hard to tell whether it's just a matter of it needing a cleaning or replacement without seeing some images. But, if it took you a long time to "peel apart" and it covers a large area... personally speaking, I'd probably replace it. But, that's just me.

Hope you're settling in nicely in your new abode!

    Cheers

Scott - keep it! The stickiness will help collect any dust particles that get into the bag.
