    View Camera outside the US

Beginning with the Jan/Feb 07 issue View Camera’s foreign distribution practices will change. Readers outside the US will have a choice, they can still get the hard copy or they can subscribe to our new electronic version and download the magazine.

If you still want a hard copy we will put you in touch with our new distributors. We will have a distributor in England for the UK, Germany, France, Austria, Italy, and Australia/New Zealand. We are looking for one in Japan and Canada. This will speed up the delivery to subscribers in these areas. Each distributor will also provide the info for the special subscriber’s section with the delivery of the issue.

If you want the magazine electronically, it willl be downloadable from our web site. We will put the cover and the Table of Contents on our site and the TOC will be setup so you can download each article as you wish rather than trying to download the complete magazine. We have years of experience doing PDF files so there should not be many gliches.

Initially the US domestic and the foreign subscribers will be getting the same material. Over time the foreign electronic version will evolve slightly to cover photographers working in specific countries and products and services also available in those specific countries. This will help the photographers in those countries become more aware of each other and begin developing their own local network.

We will announce some of these new distributors in the Nov/Dec. 06 issue and will put a complete list on our web site by Oct. 30, 06.

If you have any questions please e-mail us at

    largformat@aol.com

    Thanks

Thank you for this. Getting the magazine here has been expensive and difficult, this will be it much easier.

    Regards.

I don't play the piano, I don't have a beard and I listen to AC/DC in the darkroom. I have no hope as a photographer.

We have a new distributor in Canada.

    Rob Skeoch
    Big Camera Workshops

    905-335-1682
    skeoch@sympatico.ca

This will dramatically improve delivery to Canadian subscribers. All new subscriptions and renewals will be directed to Rob. If you are living in Canada and want to subscribe to View Camera please contact him directly.

(How about the old issues of the magazine ? Could they be down-loaded or not ?)

Possibly for just the last year or so. Give us little time.

    thanks
