    polaroid prints and mounting tissue

I must mount/mat several polaroid type 56 (sepia) prints for an upcoming exhibit . I have never used original polaroids in this way before, and I don't know if t he material will stand the temperature of the traditional dry mount press. I hav e no extras with which to experiment so I have to be as careful as I can the fir st time. Has anyone experience with polaroid and the use of mounting tissue--Sea l MT 5+?

    Thanks,

    Bob

    polaroid prints and mounting tissue

If you have to dry mount them, try Scotch PMA (Positionable Mounting Adhesive). It is a cold mount adhesive. It is "archival" per light impressions.

You might consider a float mount or using mounting corners instead, so as not to permanently mount the polaroids.
