    Burke and James press camera

okay, stupid question; I just got a B&J press camera off of ebay. While I already have a monorail and Tachihara which I love, I wanted a little slice of history to shoot with. I'm running into a problem, though, which I am sure will elicit numerous laughs (or at least chuckles).

How do I open it? I'm redfaced with shame, and I don't want to force anything, but I can't seem to get the bed to drop down to save my life. It's all closed up like a clam and all I see is a small round knob next to the top rangefinder which doesn't seem to do anything. (the knob, not the rangefinder)

Any help for an incredibly stupid person would be appreciated. Thanks!

Top there is a hidden button. It's under the covering. Basically feel around the top middle for the bump then push. At least IIRC. If not I'll go pull mine off the shelf later-)

that button should let the bed pop out when you push it.

Thank you, thank you thank you! I guess I just wasn't pushing hard enough, but I got it, it popped open and the lens looks great! Can't wait to go out this weekend and try it out! Thanks again to both of you!
