    Fine work by Richard Ritter

I sent off my ol' 5x7 Speed Graphic to Richard Ritter on the advice of several people who post here. It came back home today and I am really impressed with the work done. Several West Coast repair shops had told me it was a lost cause---no parts---but Richard Ritter somehow got the ol' Speeder running smoothly----the problem had to do with the rails being bent out of shape----and I'm one happy customer!

I've never sent anything to Richard for repair, but I have purchased several lens boards for my Zone VI 8x10. Every transaction was professional all around.

    Hi John,

Good to hear that there's still craftsman out there who really care about the quality of their products.

I just received my 6x6 Adapter board from Ken Hough and it's a really beautiful piece of workmanship!

    Cheers

Richard also does excellent work on spotmeters. I sent my Soligor for a calibration out Monday, and got it back Friday! Quick turnaround.

A few years ago I was in Vermont and had a problem with a fairly new wooden camera. I called Richard and went to see him about it. Richard looked at it and said it would take up to a month to repair the camera. It had swelled up due to the humid weather. He expanded how it had to be repaired and why. The camera has worked with no problem ever since. He loan me his camera for the duration of my trip. The camera he loaned me looks like the same camera he uses to show how to repair a broken camera in the field.
