Simple 4x5 scanner for web use.

I would like a modest scanner for 4x5 negative (color and b&w) and slides, but I am not looking for the latest and greatest, as I will not be printing very much at first.

Are there any inexpensive scanners out there that will do a decent job on 4x5 film, for purposes of web viewing?

You can get a refurbished Epson 4870 for 199 direct from Epson. If you want to go less expensive than that then I suggest eBay and look for a used Epson 3200, UMax Powerlook III or Agfa T1200 ... all should be around 100 or less but you really should stick with the 4870 if you can afford it ...

    Rider,

Fully agree with Ted! A used 3200 is a great way to go and they're trying to (almost) GIVE them away on ebay at the moment!

    Cheers
